Professor I have a question: You said the last part of threshold potential is reached by calcium but in my text book it says that the "HCN channels" that are activated due to hyperpolaristion, and doesn't mention the Ca2+ ions. Is this new research? because this video is quite old.
Hello @goharkan2627 thank you for your question. The HCN channels are what I’ve referred to as “funny” channels. Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels are responsible for the pacemaker activity.
